Jesus - a man of prayer


"Let my prayer come before You:turn Your ear unto my cry"
Psalms 88:2


As this was my time Wif God alone I asked God "God ... is there anything that i need 2 grow?Is there anything that I can say to Your children so that they may be blessed?"
Holy prompted me 2 read Luke 11:1.It happened that while Jesus was praying in a certain place,after He had finished,ome of His disciplines said to Him."Lord,teach us how to pray,just as John taught his disciples"


When I thought about it, i was thinking "why would Jesus's disciples ask Him how 2 pray how being with Him for SO LONG.And is praying so hard?Like what our church pastors always preach about 'Prayer is actually talking to God'.So what a silly and stupid question to ask Jesus".


Brothers and sisters, I was so WRONG! I thought prayer was easy to understand but God gave me new insights of it.Allow me to take this what God has spoken to me :P


And I want you guys to notice some things that are very important.I believe with all my heart it was a fearful thing to watch Jesus pray.That it was the most awesome event, higher than anything He did because if you notice here,it says, 'it happened that while Jesus was praying at a certain place, after He had finished, no one dared touch that arc."


When he was bowing down to God on His knees,when He was calling out to His Father, it was like no other thing anyone had ever seen on the face of the earth.And he goes on and it says 'one of his disciples said unto Him;Lord,teach us how 2 pray'


I find this the most amusing statement.Because this statement is a statement that many of those that read this text overlooked at it.If u read the New Testament,never did the disciples ask Jesus;


'Jesus,teach us how 2 walk on water'
'Jesus,teach us how 2 raise the dead'
'Jesus,teach us how to cast out demons' or even 'Jesus,teach us how to fly'( <---okay this is a joke :P) The nxt question i asked myself, "Why would they ask Jesus how 2 pray?"


Think about it.Why? Let me ask you something, if let say u wanted to learn how 2 play soccer well.Would you come to me? ... well, not that im good at it or anything,proberly i cant teach or tell u anything.The smart thing to do is asking the Pros abt it right? Since they had a exprienced in it and they know the game how it rolls.So im thinking to myself ... that maybe the reason why the disciples asked Jesus.Simply because Jesus showed to them that Prayer was His speciality and that is what True Christians should be called off. Jesus was a Man of prayer
